Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

For certain posts, candidates possessing qualifications such as B.Com, B.L., or Diploma in Taxation Laws may be given preference. Candidates appearing in the final year examination can also apply, provided they produce proof of passing before the Main Examination stage.

Age Limit

As on July 1, 2026:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age for General Category: 34 years (for most posts)
  • Reserved Category Candidates: Up to 39 years
  • Age relaxations are applicable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Ex-servicemen, and Destitute Widows as per TNPSC rules.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three stages:

Preliminary Examination

Candidates will first appear in an objective-type screening examination.

Main Written Examination

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the descriptive mains examination.

Interview

The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview.
