RRB NTPC Fee Refund Started: Check Your Bank Account Before June 12.Good news has started arriving for lakhs of Railway job aspirants. The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have begun refunding examination fees to candidates who appeared in the RRB NTPC Graduate Level (CEN 05/2024) examination. While most candidates have already received the refund amount in their bank accounts, some are still waiting due to errors in the banking details submitted during registration.
To ensure that no eligible candidate misses out on the refund, the Railway Board has opened a special correction window that will allow candidates to update their bank account information and receive the pending amount.
Why Are Some Candidates Not Receiving Their Refund?
After initiating the refund process, RRB found that several transactions failed because of incorrect bank account numbers, wrong IFSC codes, or mismatched account details provided by candidates while filling out the application form.
As a result, the refund amount could not be transferred successfully. Candidates affected by this issue will receive an SMS or email notification informing them about the failed transaction and the steps required to correct their details.
One-Time Opportunity to Update Bank Details
The Railway Board has announced a special bank account rectification facility for candidates whose refunds could not be processed successfully.
The correction window will remain active from 3 June to 12 June 2026. During this period, candidates can visit the official website of their respective RRB and update the required banking information.
Officials have clarified that this is a one-time facility and candidates should not wait until the last day to complete the process.
Aadhaar Verification Will Be Required
To make the refund process more secure, candidates will have to verify their Aadhaar details before confirming their bank account information.
Once Aadhaar verification is completed, the system will automatically display the bank account linked with Aadhaar. This account will be used to process the refund.
Candidates who have not linked their bank account with Aadhaar will be redirected to complete the linking process before they can proceed further.
Interestingly, candidates who do not have a personal bank account can also provide the Aadhaar-linked account details of a family member, making the process more convenient for everyone.
How Much Money Will Be Refunded?
The refund amount depends on the category of the candidate.
Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories had paid ₹500 during the application process. After deducting applicable bank charges, ₹400 will be refunded.\

For candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, Female, Ex-Servicemen, Minority, and Economically Backward Class categories, the entire application fee of ₹250 will be returned.
Candidates Advised to Check Their Accounts
Many candidates have already reported receiving the refund amount in their bank accounts. Those who have not received any credit should immediately check their registered email and mobile number for communication from RRB.
The Railway Board has also urged candidates to carefully verify all details before submitting corrections, as no additional opportunity is likely to be provided after the correction window closes.
Final Reminder for Aspirants
For candidates eagerly waiting for their refund, the next few days are crucial. If your refund has not been credited yet, make sure to monitor your SMS, email, and official RRB website regularly.
With the correction facility available for a limited period, updating the correct bank account details on time could be the difference between receiving the refund and losing the opportunity altogether.
