Bihar Police Radio Operator Exam 2026 Postponed Due to NEET Clash, New Date Announced.Thousands of government job aspirants in Bihar have received an important update as the Bihar Police Radio Operator Recruitment Examination 2026 has officially been postponed. The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) announced that the examination date has been changed due to a clash with the NEET UG 2026 re-examination schedule.
The written exam, which was earlier planned for June 20 and June 21, will now be conducted on June 28, 2026.
The decision has brought mixed reactions among candidates. While some students were disappointed by the sudden postponement, many others welcomed the move, saying the extra preparation time could help improve their performance.
NEET Exam Clash Led to Major Schedule Change
According to officials, the Bihar Police recruitment examination was postponed because the NEET UG re-exam is also scheduled on June 21. Since both examinations involve a huge number of candidates and exam centres across multiple districts, authorities decided to avoid administrative pressure and security-related complications.
Officials said conducting two major examinations on the same date could create challenges related to transportation, law and order, and management of examination centres.
To ensure smooth and fair conduct of both examinations, the recruitment board pushed the Bihar Police exam ahead by one week.
Recruitment Drive for 993 Posts
The recruitment examination is being conducted for 993 vacancies under Bihar Police Radio Operator and Technical Non-Gazetted Cadre categories.
Thousands of candidates from different districts of Bihar have applied for the posts and have been preparing for the written examination for several months.
For many aspirants, Bihar Police recruitment remains one of the biggest opportunities to secure a government job in the state.
New Exam Schedule Released
As per the revised notification issued by the board:
- New Exam Date: June 28, 2026
- Exam Timing: 12 PM to 2 PM
- Reporting Time: 10 AM to 11 AM
The examination will now be conducted in a single shift.
Candidates have been advised to carefully check all updated instructions before appearing for the exam.
Admit Card Download Begins From June 22
The board has also announced the new admit card schedule for candidates.
Applicants will be able to download their e-admit cards from June 22, 2026, through the official CSBC website. The admit card download link will remain active till the examination day.
Officials have clearly stated that no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre without a valid admit card.
Students are also being advised to regularly check the official website for any fresh updates regarding exam centres and instructions.
Extra Time Brings Relief for Many Aspirants
Many candidates preparing for the recruitment examination believe the postponement could work in their favour. Several coaching experts say the additional preparation days can help students revise important topics, solve mock tests, and improve time management before the final exam.
Teachers have advised candidates to focus more on revision rather than starting completely new topics at the last moment.
Experts also suggest practicing previous year question papers and maintaining a proper study routine during the remaining days.
Bihar Police Recruitment Remains Highly Competitive
Competition for Bihar Police recruitment continues to remain extremely high due to the limited number of vacancies and large applicant base.
Recently, the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment Result was also announced, where more than 19,000 candidates were selected from lakhs of applicants across the state.
With government job opportunities attracting huge interest among youth, experts expect the competition level in upcoming Bihar Police examinations to remain intense.
