Air Force Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027 Notification Released, Applications Begin from July 6.The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially released the Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 notification under the Agnipath Scheme. Unmarried male and female candidates from across the country can apply online from July 6 to July 26, 2026. The online examination is scheduled to be held on September 22 and 23, 2026.
Candidates selected through this recruitment drive will serve in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years as Agniveervayu under the Agnipath scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates should be born between July 1, 2005, and January 1, 2010 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit at the time of enrolment should not exceed 22 years.
Marital Status
Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply. Selected candidates are required to remain unmarried throughout the four-year engagement period. Female candidates must also undertake not to become pregnant during this period.
Educational Qualification
Science Subjects
Candidates should have:
- Passed 10+2/Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
- Completed a three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology or IT) with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
OR
- Passed a two-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics along with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
Other Than Science Subjects
Candidates should have:
- Passed 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
OR
- Completed a two-year vocational course with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of three phases:
Phase I
- Online Examination
Phase II
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- Adaptability Test-I
- Adaptability Test-II
Phase III
- Medical Examination
Candidates must qualify each stage to move ahead in the selection process.
Physical Fitness Standards
Male Candidates
- 1.6 km run in 7 minutes
- 10 push-ups in 1 minute
- 10 sit-ups in 1 minute
- 20 squats in 1 minute
Female Candidates
- 1.6 km run in 8 minutes
- 10 sit-ups in 1 minute 30 seconds
- 15 squats in 1 minute
The minimum acceptable height for both male and female candidates is 152 cm, while special relaxation is available for candidates from North-East states and certain hilly regions.
Salary and Benefits
Selected Agniveervayu candidates will receive:

After completing four years of service, Agniveervayu personnel will receive a tax-free Seva Nidhi package of around ₹10.04 lakh, excluding interest. Up to 25% of each batch may be inducted into the regular Air Force cadre based on organizational requirements and performance.
