The admit card and the date of the TNEB AE Examination will be released by the Electricity Board of Tamil Nadu for the Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Assistant Engineer (Civil), and Assistant Engineer (Electrical) written exam. The admit card and the examination date will be released on the official website

There is a vacancy for a total of 600 posts. The admit card for TNEB AE will be released 15 to 20 days before the exam date. The candidates who have applied for the TNEB AE examination can download the admit card by visiting the official website, viz.

Details related to the Examination:

The notification of TNEB AE was released earlier on 8th February 2020 on the online portal to recruit 600 young talented assistant engineers from different fields. The examination of TNEB AE has been scheduled to be held on April 24, 2021; April 25, 2021; May 1, 2021; and May 2, 2021, tentatively by the TN Generation & Distribution Corporation Limited.

TNEB AE Admit Card 2021

The examination will take place at different examination centres across Tamil Nadu in the morning shift from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m.; that is, the total duration of the examination will be 2 hours. The exam will be held to check the ability and knowledge of the candidates.

The question paper will consist of 3 parts, Part I, Part II and Part III, which will be of objective type. The examination will be held in OMR sheet, and the questions will be of the standard of the Engineering Degree. The selection of the candidates will be made based on the marks they will get in Written Examination and according to the reservation rules.

Admit Card Downloading Procedure:

The candidates can download their admit card by following the below-given procedure-

  1. At first, the candidates must visit the official website, that is, 
  2. Then, they must click on the link of “Admit Card for TNEB Assistant Engineer (AE) Recruitment Examination 2020 2021” on the home page.
  3. Next, they should log in by using the required details: the Registration Number or User ID and the password. 
  4. After that, the TNEB AE Admit Card 2021 will be displayed on the screen in PDF format.
  5. Finally, the candidates must download or save the admit card and should print it for future use.

Details present in the Admit Card:

The candidates must carry the admit card at the examination centre with them as it is necessary for them to carry it with them; otherwise, they will not be allowed to appear in the examination. The following details will be present in the TNEB AE Admit Card 2021-

  1. Name of the candidate: The full name of the candidate will be present on the admit card. 
  2. Schedule of the Examination: The schedule of the examination will also be present.

Instructions regarding the Examination:

The following instructions will be present in the TNEB AE Examination 2021- 

  1. The candidates must reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the verification procedure like Biometric Attendance, Facial Biometric, QR Code Scanning, etc.
  2. The candidates must carry the admit card and valid ID proof in original otherwise, they will not be able to attend the examination.
  3. The candidates must not bring any electronic device, books, notes, etc., with them.
  4. Just issuance of admit card will not imply that the officials have fully cleared the candidate’s candidature.
  5. The candidates should follow all the instructions at the exam centre, governed by the Test Administrator before the examination. 
  6. If the candidates practise any misbehaviour, disciplinary action will be taken against them. 
  7. The candidates must wear the mask and maintain social distancing. 
  8. The candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam hall once they leave after completing the examination.
