Supreme Court Hearing on CBSE 12th Exams:- All the states of India are under the pandemic threat of Covid-19 and due to which several cases of lockdowns have been noticed. Due to this situation, several petitions have been filed to the honorable Supreme Court regarding the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 exams.
The requested exams are CBSE compartment, repeater, private exams of class 12, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), and the students have also been taken to the court today. In the court, the vacation bench hears the petitions at today 11 am, which comprise of Justices Dinesh Maheshwari and AM Khanwilkar.
In the Supreme Court, a total of 1152 students has filed a joint petition regarding the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 exams.
The court was about to give some directions regarding the performance evaluation of Class 12 compartment or private students along with the assessment formula of CBSE and other present boards for the declaration of the results of regular student as per the time. However, the petitions have filed before that.
As per the petitions, the CBSE board is directed to give permission to the Class 12 and 10 compartment, private students so that they can file their objectives within a specified timeframe if they found any discrepancy in their results or have a problem with it. After that, they are also directed to solve all the queries as soon as possible so that any kind of business is not there and every student can get equal treatment.
The students of the CBSE board will receive their results on the performance evaluation process, in which their performances of class 10th, 11th final exams, and 12th pre-board exam will decide the result. The 12-member committee of CBSE has recommended the 30:30:40 formula for the result evaluation. In this, 40% weightage will be given to the 12th pre-board exams, and class 10th and 11th results will get 30% of weightage each.
The practical examinations will be of 100 marks, and the evaluation will be based on the schools’ submitted marks. The CBSE board will release the result of Class 12 examination by 31st July.
In the last month the parents, have submitted the petition regarding the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 exams, due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, and as a response, the board has come up with the 12th marking formula today.
