Some details of OTET 2021
OTET is an examination conducted by BSE of Odisha for recruiting the eligible candidates as teachers in various government, private unaided and private aided schools of the state for the classes 1 to 8. The candidates who have passed class 12 or have a graduation with a minimum qualifying mark will be eligible for appearing in the OTET. The examination occurs in 2 papers. One is Category A or Paper I and the other is Category B or Paper II. According to their eligibility, the candidates can appear for both or one of the papers.
OTET 2021 Notification:
The OTET Notification 2021 has been released on 19th February 2021 by BSE of Odisha on the official website www.bseodisha.ac.in. The process of registration and filling up of the application form has already started. The last date to fill up the application form is 8th March 2021.
The last date for paying application fee is 9th March 2021. On the basis of the notification, the last date will not be extended. The date of the examination is not announced till now, but it is expected to be announced after the ending of the application process.
The Registration Process of OTET 2021
The candidates should follow the below given procedure for the registration for OTET–
Visit official website
The candidates should visit the website www.bseodisha.ac.in first.
Then, they should click on the link for applying for OTET 2021 which will be present under the section of “Latest Updates”.
After that, they should click on “New Registration” under Paper I/Paper II/ both.
Next, they must register by providing all the details that will be asked for.
Using Mobile Number & password
Then, they must login using mobile number and password.
Application form fee
After that, they should fill up the application form by providing all the details that will be required.
Upload required documents
Next, they should upload all the required documents in the specified size and format.
Then, they should check the details in the form for any mistakes.
Finally, they must make the payment of the application fee through debit card or credit card or net banking or via offline mode by bank challan to complete the process of application.

Eligibility Criteria of OTET 2021:
In order to be eligible for Paper I, the candidates must have passed class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks for the candidates of general category and a minimum of 45% marks for the candidates of reserved category. The candidates should also have CT or D.El.Ed or 2-year diploma in Special Education or 4-year diploma in B.El.Ed.
In order to be eligible for Paper II, the candidates must have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% marks for the candidates of general category and a minimum of 45% marks for the candidates of reserved category. The candidates should also pass B.Ed. or the candidates must have passed class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks for the candidates of general category and a minimum of 45% marks for the candidates of reserved category and 4-year B.A. B.Ed. or B.Sc. B.Ed.
The candidates who are eligible for Paper II will not be eligible for Paper I.
The Paper I will be conducted for recruiting teachers for class 1 to class 5, whereas, the Paper II will be conducted for recruiting teachers for class 6 to class 8. Both papers occur separately.
The result of OTET will be released a few days after the examination will be completed on the official website, that is, www.bseodisha.ac.in. The general category candidates must score at least 60% marks and the reserved category candidates must score at least 50% marks to qualify the examination. The candidates whose name will be present in the merit list will get eligible for jobs in different schools as teacher in the state.
Some Guidelines for the Examination Day:
The various guidelines for the examination day are as follows-
- The candidates must carry black ball point pen to mark their answers in the OMR Sheet.
- The candidates must carry the admit card and also a valid Photo ID Proof, its Xerox copy and Passport along with them at the exam centre for verification purpose as without it they will not be able to appear for the examination.
- Items like books, bags, papers, etc. and electronic devices like calculators, mobiles, wrist watch, etc. are strictly prohibited in the examination centre.
