By | December 23, 2020

RPSC has been released Notification for the Recruitment of the College Assistant Professor 2020 but didn’t conduct the SET exam for the last 7 Years.

The notification for the Recruitment of the Assistant Professor (College Education) has been released by RPSC, but thousands of youths will not be able to apply for this post due to various reasons. Since the last 7 years, the SET (State Eligibility Test), which is a state-level examination has not been conducted in the state of Rajasthan.

It is quite difficult for the candidates of Rajasthan to qualify for the NET (Net Eligibility Test), which is a national level examination, especially for the students of Commerce stream because of various reasons, which have been discussed in the section given below.

Thus, the candidates are hoping for the SET Exam to be conducted this year in Rajasthan.

The streams of Commerce in which recruitment has more problems:

It is most difficult for the students of Commerce to pass the NET Exam. The following three streams of Commerce faces more problems regarding the Recruitment of the Assistant Professor, viz. EAFM (Economic Administration & Financial Management), Business Education & ABST (Accountancy & Business Statistics).

These three subjects are taught separately in the Universities of the state (Rajasthan), and the degrees are also provided separately to the students. But in the Central Universities and the universities of many other states, these three streams are taught together as the Commerce Stream.

Thus, in the NET Exam, all these streams are included in the same paper and a single exam is held for all three streams. Since, the students in Rajasthan study only one of these three streams, it becomes really very difficult for them to cope up with the remaining two streams, and thus it becomes difficult for them to pass the NET Exam.

Hence, these candidates, in order to take the job of an Assistant Professor require the SET Exam to be conducted in their state, Rajasthan.

Eligibility for RPSC College Assistant Professor Vacancies 2020

A notification has been released by RPSC for vacancies of 918 posts of Assistant Professor. To appear in the examination, the candidates have to qualify for either the SET/SLET or NET examination.

The NET Exam is conducted two times in a year, one time in the month of June and the second time in the month of December. It is organized by the NTA (National Testing Agency). In Rajasthan, the SET Exam was held till the year 2013-2014, but after that, no SET Exam has been organized till now.

Thus, the students of Rajasthan are left with only the option for being eligible for this recruitment, which is, they must be NET qualified. Since the SET exam in their state has not been organized for a very long period of time.

Some details related to the SET of Rajasthan:

The SET/SLET Exam in the state of Rajasthan was organised by RPSC till seven years ago. An office was also set up for SET by the Commission.

This examination was held for a total of 29 subjects. According to the information, the exam was last held in the year 2013-14.
