The Kerala Election was held in only 1 phase on 6th April, 2021 in different districts and different constituencies of Kerala. The Kerala Election was held in total 140 constituencies, out of which there are 4 SC and 2 ST Constituencies. The result of the election will be announced on 2nd May, 2021. 

It is being expected that CPM-led LDF will beat anti-incumbency and will come in power in the state. Thus, according to the polls, Pinarayi will return to power in Kerala. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has also expressed his confidence that he will again return in power and that too with a bigger mandate than that the party got in the year 2016 in the previous election.

Thus, a direct fight is being experienced between the ruling party, that is, CPI (M)-led LDF Alliance and the Congress-led UDF Alliance. BJP is also expected to give a tough fight in a few seats.

In the last 4 decades, the people of the state have been electing between the 2 parties, the UDF and the LDF alternatively. Thus, a tough competition is always seen in these 2 parties during the elections in the state.

There are a total of 140 seats out of which a party should win at least 72 seats for attaining majority. Exit polls were conducted by different organisations for a prediction of the Kerala Election Results 2021 after the election was concluded in the state. 

About 73.58 percent of total 2.74 crore voters exercised their votes on the polling day, that is, on 6th April, 2021. 

Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and honourable Home Minister Amit Shah had done campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi also actively took part in campaigning for the Congress party in Kerala.
