The MNS Examination or the Indian Army B.Sc. Nursing Examination is an exam held to admission the eligible candidates in the four-year B.Sc. degree course from the Nursing Colleges of the Armed Forces Medical Services.
A total of 220 seats are available for the admission of the candidates. There are a total of 6 colleges allotted for the course. The interested candidates can apply by visiting the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. The applications will be accepted in the online mode only.

Indian Army B.Sc. Nursing Exam Schedule 2021
Some Important Dates related to the Indian Army B.Sc. Nursing Examination 2021 are as follows-

The Exam Pattern:
The examination will be computer-based. The total duration of the test will be one and a half hours or 90 minutes.
The pattern for the test is given below-

The Selection Procedure:
The candidates will be selected based on a 3-staged process. The first stage will be a computer-based exam, the second stage will be the interview, and the third stage will be a medical test.

Indian Army B.Sc. Nursing Promotion:
In the Indian Army, all the officers get the same rank, and the only difference is in their work profile. So, in the case of nurses, also just after completing the training, they are posted as Lieutenant.
After that, they will be promoted as Captain and then as Major based on their experience. However, after that, they must appear for various examinations for every promotion.
After passing the examination, they will hold the post of Lieutenant Colonel first. Then they will get the post of Colonel, Brigadier, and Major General respectively after passing various examinations.
These internal examinations for promotions are held every year. Thus, the rank increases from Lieutenant to Major General as follows-

Salary Scale of B.Sc. Nursing :
The salary scale for the nurses in the Indian Army will range from Rs.56,000 to Rs.1,10,000. There will be extra pay, such as Travel Allowance, Military Service Pay, Ration, Dearness Allowance, Free Accommodation, etc.
In the training period, they will receive Rs.8,000 per month pocket expenses. When they are posted as Lieutenant, their salary will be Rs.56,000 plus allowances.
When promoted as Captain, their salary will increase to Rs.61,100 plus allowances. As a major, their salary will be Rs.69,400 plus allowances. The salary of the other higher posts will be as follows-
- Lieutenant Colonel- Rs.1,21,200 plus A grade allowances.
- Colonel- Rs.1,30,600 plus A grade allowances.
- Brigadier- Rs.1,39,600 plus A grade allowances.
- Major General- Rs.1,44,200 plus A grade allowances.
The salary may vary based on the place of their work. More allowances are also there, which are received by the nurses, which are not mentioned above.
