Board of Governors, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, and IISER Kolkata

The IISERs are among the top academic institutions with a focus on research, according to Prof. Arvind A. Natu, Chair of the Board of Governors of IISE Thiruvananthapuram and IISE Kolkata, who spoke at the event. Students can anticipate a true academic environment, the true meaning of interdisciplinary training, an opportunity to work in nearly every department for an all-around education, and a chance to comprehend conceptualizations, planning, and problem-solving techniques from an IISE. I appreciate the invitation from IISE TVM to share my ideas and experiences with you all.

Founding Director, IISER Mohali

The road taken to build IISE Mohali was detailed by Prof. N. Sathyamurthy, the founding director. We won’t be able to get the results we want until we take a collaborative approach, he stated. When I was granted control of IISE Mohali and began working to establish and operate the Institute, I discovered this lesson. We are all working together to develop the new science universities in India, and this is the only way we can succeed.

Founding Director, NISER, Bhubaneswar

“When NISER Bhubaneswar was established, we faced some peculiar challenges, but with the constant support from the state authorities and the Department of Atomic Energy, we were able to establish a campus fitting the architecture and culture of the state,” said Prof. T. K. Chandrashekar, the founding director of NISER, Bhubaneswar.

During my time as the Director, I had the good fortune to work with some of the best minds in the nation. We were able to create a roadmap for developing NISER as an Institute of academic and research excellence thanks to our collaboration with other Institutes of eminence.
