ICSE 10th class exam canceled – CISCE will start admission in class 11

CISCE has decided to cancel the ICSE 10th board exam. Now, students will be given direct admission in class 11 without examination.

We all are aware that how coronavirus cases escalating every day. The unexpected expansion of the virus made the world upside down. Virus born in 2019 impacted the world dreadfully everything has and become worse, even our education sector is included in that. Students have to face so many challenges due to the pandemic; the disruption caused by the lockdown and the change to online pedagogy affected students both positively and negatively.

Due to the sudden spike in COVID-19 cases several boards like- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the Gujarat Board, the Odisha Board, and Punjab Board cancelled their final exams.

Also, many states like- Haryana, Jammu Kashmir, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar shut down their schools and colleges for the wellbeing of the students.

About ICSE 10th Class Board Exam Cancellation

The CISCE Board said, “The protection and welfare of the students and staff from the virus is our topmost priority and paramount concern. The board further declared that the exams got cancelled due to the current arising situation that is becoming worse day by day and conducting exams amid such a crisis would lead to a more dangerous virus spread. 

The CISCE board just a day ago rescheduled the ICSE exams of Class 10th and 12th due to the Covid rise and also after receiving a lot many requests from the parents and students to cancel the exam.

The board decided that the new dates for Class 12th exams will be declared in June while the exam will be scheduled later offline. 

For Class 10th the board decided that either students can give the exams or switch to offline mode later it is optional for them.

The CISCE board makes the decision of the exam cancellation due to the current unprecedented second wave of Covid. 

 On Sunday, the National Testing Agency delayed the JEE Mains Exams. The new dates will be announced later 15 days before the exam, NTA declared. The decision made after the engineering students demands to postpone the exam.
