Bunty aur Babli 2 broke the expectations of the audience. Its 1st-day box office collection was only 2.6 crores. It is expected that the collection of 2nd day will be above 3 crores.

Bunty aur Babli 2 was released on Friday in theatres. On Box Office, it had received a moderate welcome. Bunty aur Babli 2 Box Office Day 1 Collection has not been good at all. The film has the casts Rani Mukherji, Saif Ali Khan, Sharvari Wagh, Pankaj Tripathi & Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi is its competitor which is already running hit. The film is on its way to joining 200 crore rupees club.

DayBunty aur Babli 2 Box
Office Earning
Friday Day 1₹ 2.60 Cr
Saturday Day 2₹ 3.00 Cr (Expected)
Total₹ 5.60 Cr

Bunty aur Babli 2 Box Office Day 1 Collection has been reported to be 2.75 crore rupees by Boxofficeindia.com. It was also reported that the numbers have also been improved due to the holiday of Guru Nanak Jayanti and the collection might deteriorate on Saturday. Poor reviews were received by the film overall.

The BuntyAur Babli (first one) starred Rani Mukherji & Abhishek Bachchan along with Amitabh Bachchan who played a cop’s role.

In the Bunty Aur Babli 2, Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of Bunty which was played by Abhishek Bachchan in Bunty Aur Babli. Other than this, Siddhant Chaturvedi & Sharvari Wagh are playing the role of imposters of Bunty & Babli.

As said by Saif Ali Khan, he felt it was a rare opportunity of playing the role of Rakesh Trivedi (Bunty). The character is from U.P.’s small-town Fursatganj, whereas, maximum characters played by him are NRI, urban & wealthy. It was interesting for him to play Bunty’s role who belongs to a small town and not from a lavish place like New York. He felt happy when he got this chance.

The film was unable in impressing the critics. According to a Hindustan Times review, this sequel is not even remotely close to the first one, though Rani Mukherji is reprising her role of Babli (Vimmi). It is snooze-fest and has failed to entertain as it was in the case of the original version of Bunty Aur Babli. Adding to the disappointment is the fact that there are no punches in Bunty Aur Babli 2 that can entertain even a bit. It never gains that momentum that is expected in a comedy film.
