BGMI Update:-CAIT demands to ban PUBG in India again, KRAFTON Responded

A letter to Ravi Shankar Prasad, the Honourable Union IT and Communication Minister has been written by CAIT demanding BGMI’s ban. This is because it is predicted as a harmful or negative thing for national sovereignty. Security of the country, and for the young generation also. 

In India, PUBG Mobile was banned under the Information Technology ACT’s Section 69A in September 2020

In its letter, it was also said by CAIT that the app has many such features which are similar to the older version that was banned. Though it is being marketed as an Indian Game which has been made only for the users from India, to Singapore, and various other regions along with data transfer. Also, as the governing law, the non-Indians will also be able to enjoy the game as normal users.

BGMI responded to the above-mentioned statement on its official website saying that the game’s creator, that is, KRAFTON, and blockbuster IP’s owner, that is, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, are working for fully complying with the regulations and laws of India as they are leading up to the Battlegrounds Mobile India’s official launch in India.

The game’s beta version which was released on 17th June 2021 is already being enjoyed by the fans of BGMI, and the fans of PUBG Mobile India through OBB links and APK for the Android Devices have already started downloading it.

Though the game has vast popularity still many people are standing with the demand for a ban. Hence, KRAFTON has decided that BGMI will not be released for some more days keeping in view these controversies.

KRAFTON said that the 3rd party solutions are used in BGMI also just like other apps and mobile games so that it can also have unique game features. But, it has also been maintained that the shared data is only used for providing better gaming experiences, and privacy policy is not violated while sharing any data.

KRAFTON has ensured also that before the official launch all the data that will be transferred to any blocked IP Address or any unexpected IP Address and will be protected.
