Who Can Apply for BOB LBO Recruitment 2026?

The Local Bank Officer recruitment is different from fresher-level banking examinations. Candidates need both the required educational qualification and relevant banking experience.

Applicants must:

  • Have a graduation degree in any discipline.

  • Be within the prescribed age limit.

  • Have at least one year of relevant post-qualification officer experience.

  • Be proficient in the local language of the State selected for the application.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.

Certain professional certifications have also been mentioned as preferred qualifications, including relevant certifications from the Insurance Institute of India and NISM.

However, candidates should not confuse these preferred certifications with the basic educational eligibility. Graduation is the essential qualification.

BOB LBO Experience Requirement

This is one of the most important conditions of the recruitment.

Candidates must have a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or eligible Regional Rural Bank as specified in the recruitment conditions.

The experience should be relevant to the officer-level role.

Important

Clerical cadre experience will not be counted for fulfilling the required officer-level experience.

Candidates should therefore keep their experience certificate and job profile documents ready before applying.

The candidate's age should be:

  • Minimum: 21 years
