Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. It is a state-level examination that invites applications for the post of teachers in government schools in Andhra Pradesh. It is conducted once a year in the month of May or June.

APTET 2021 Syllabus

It is an online computer-based exam comprising of two papers with 150 MCQs in each of them with a time duration of 2.5 hours for each paper.

Eligibility Criteria of APTET 2021

In order to be able to apply for the examination, candidates must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.

PAPER-ITeacher (Class 1-5)2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or 2 – year Diploma in Education or Intermediate or Senior Secondary with a min. Of 50% marks for general category candidates and 45% min. Marks for SC/ ST/ BC/ differently abled candidates.
2 – Year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. (B.El.Ed.) or 2 – year Diploma in Education in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed or D.Ed., course prior to the issue of these guidelines or Intermediate or Senior Secondary with min. Of 45% marks for general category candidates and 40% min. Marks for SC/ ST/ BC/ differently abled candidates.
PAPER-II(A)Maths/Science/Social Science Teacher (Class 6-8)Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Course/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) –in concerned subject with min. 50% marks for general category candidates and 45% min. Marks for SC/ ST/ BC/ differently abled candidates.

Of A.P. and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of One or Two years, duration or Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) of duration not less than two years or from any NCTE Recognized Institution.
Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education an elective subject or Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at least three years duration and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of one or two years, duration or Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) of duration not less than two years or from any NCTE Recognized Institution.
School Assist-Physical Education Teacher (Class 6-8)Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject or Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) of at least three years duration.
Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) of at least one-year duration course from NCTE Recognized University or Institution.

To prepare well for the exam, candidates should make sure to cover each and every section of the exam well to achieve the best possible outcome.

SYLLABUD FOR AP TET 2021 PAPER-I

  • The Chid development and pedagogy section of the exam focuses on the teaching psychology of teaching learning required for primary level.
  • Language-I has 6 options: Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, Kannada, Tamil and Odiya; Candidates have to choose one language amongst the 6 that they have studied until their 10th std.
  • Language-II is compulsorily English for all the candidates.
  • The language-I and language-II is to test the proficiency of the candidate in the language chosen by them and some basic elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  • The syllabus for Maths and Environmental Studies is based on the topics covered in class 1-5.

SYLLABUS FOR AP TET-2021 PAPER-II (A)

  • The Chid development and pedagogy section of the exam focuses on the teaching psychology of teaching learning required for elementary level.
  • Language-I has 6 options: Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, Kannada, Tamil and Odiya; Candidates have to choose one language amongst the 6 that they have studied until their 10th std.
  • Language-II is compulsorily English for all the candidates.
  • The language-I and language-II is to test the proficiency of the candidate in the language chosen by them and some basic elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  • Candidates who have applied for the post of the language teacher have to choose a language of their study in Pandit Training concerned under Language-I of TET Paper II-(A).
  • Candidates who have applied for Maths/Science/Social Science teachers will have to answer questions from the topics covered in respective subjects in class 6-8.

SYLLABUS FOR AP TET-2021 PAPER-II (A)

  • The Chid development and pedagogy section of the exam focuses on the teaching psychology of teaching learning required for physical education pedagogy in elementary level.
  • Language-I has 5 options: Telugu, Urdu, Kannada, Tamil and Odiya; Candidates have to choose one language amongst the 5 that they have studied until their 10th std.
  • Language-II is compulsorily English for all the candidates.
  • The language-I and language-II is to test the proficiency of the candidate in the language chosen by them and some basic elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  • The Physical education section of the exam tests some basic and logical concepts related to the subject of the candidate.
