Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has officially released the MH SET 2026 Notification for the 41st Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET). The examination is conducted every year to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor posts in higher education institutions.
Thousands of postgraduate candidates wait for the MH SET notification every year because qualifying the exam is one of the important requirements for becoming an Assistant Professor in Maharashtra and Goa. This year too, a large number of candidates are expected to apply for the examination.
According to the official schedule, the online application process will begin from 2 June 2026 at 11:00 AM and candidates will be able to submit their applications till 16 June 2026. Candidates who fail to apply within the regular dates will also get an opportunity to submit forms with a late fee from 17 June to 19 June 2026.

MH SET Exam Date 2026
The university has announced that the MH SET 2026 examination will be conducted on Sunday, 26 July 2026. The exam will take place in offline mode at various centres across Maharashtra and Goa.
Only candidates who successfully complete the online application process will be allowed to appear for the examination.
