RRB Group D PET Schedule 2026 Announced
The Railway Recruitment Board has officially announced the schedule for the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates shortlisted in the CBT will have to appear for the PET according to the date, time and venue mentioned in their call letter.
Since the PET is qualifying in nature, no marks obtained in this stage will be included in the final merit list. However, candidates who fail to meet the prescribed physical standards will not be considered for the remaining stages of the recruitment process.

RRB Group D PET Criteria 2026
The Physical Efficiency Test consists of two activities—weight lifting and running.
For Male Candidates
- Lift and carry 35 kg of weight for 100 metres within 2 minutes without putting the weight down.
- Run 1000 metres in 4 minutes 15 seconds in a single attempt.
For Female Candidates
- Lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 metres within 2 minutes without putting the weight down.
- Run 1000 metres in 5 minutes 40 seconds in a single attempt.
Candidates must successfully complete both tasks to qualify for the next stage.
Candidates Exempted from PET
As per the recruitment rules, the following categories are exempted from appearing in the Physical Efficiency Test:
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
- Ex-Servicemen (subject to applicable rules)
- Course Completed Act Apprentices
Such candidates must still fulfill the prescribed medical and other eligibility requirements.
