ISRO ISTRAC Recruitment 2026 Notification Out; Apply Online for 26 Technical Assistant, Technician & Other Posts.The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has officially released the ISTRAC Recruitment 2026 Notification, inviting online applications for 26 vacancies in various technical and support positions. The recruitment is being conducted by the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bengaluru, one of ISRO’s premier centres responsible for supporting satellite missions and launch vehicle operations.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification varies according to the post.

Technician-B

  • SSLC/Matriculation with ITI/NTC/NAC in the relevant trade.

Draughtsman-B

  • SSLC/Matriculation with ITI/NTC/NAC in Civil or Mechanical Draughtsman trade.

Technical Assistant

  • First Class Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline.

Scientific Assistant

  • First Class B.Sc. with Computer Science or Mathematics as the main subject, depending on the post.

Library Assistant ‘A’

  • First Class Bachelor’s Degree along with a First Class Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science.

Cook ‘A’

  • SSLC/Matriculation with relevant work experience in cooking as prescribed in the notification.

Age Limit

The age limit as on the closing date of the application is:

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 35 Years

Age relaxation will be available for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, and other eligible categories according to Government of India rules.

Technical Assistant

  • All Candidates: ₹750

Technician-B, Draughtsman-B, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant & Cook

  • All Candidates: ₹500

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, and Women categories are eligible for fee refund after appearing in the Computer-Based Test, as per the recruitment rules.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of multiple stages.

Written Examination / Computer-Based Test (CBT)

Eligible candidates will first appear in an objective-type written examination.

Skill Test

Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will undergo a post-specific Skill Test or Trade Test.

Document Verification

Original educational certificates, identity documents, and other required records will be verified.

Final Merit List

The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written examination, qualifying the Skill Test, and successful document verification.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive salaries according to the applicable Central Government Pay Matrix.
